A Greene County inmate is dead after “self-strangulation by hanging”, according to investigators.Greene County Sheriff Steve Burns saidthe incident happened just before 10:00 P.M. Friday. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department are investigating. The inmates name is being withheld at this time.
