Police said a Johnson City man was charged with aggravated domestic assault following a report that he stabbed his father.
According to a Johnson City Police Department news release, 41-year-old Kenneth Brackett II, 11 Madison Court, was charged after a domestic disturbance call was made around 6 a.m. Sunday to Brackett’s address. Brackett’s father said he was sleeping when he was awakened by his son, who was stabbing him in the neck and chest area.
The victim was brought to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries. His son was arrested and brought to the Carter County Detention Center in Elizabethton, where he was being held on $5,000 bond. Brackett is scheduled to be arraigned in Carter County Sessions Court on March 3.
