Army soldier responsible for accidental shooting at apartment complex, second accidental shooting there in three months

A U.S. Army soldier home on leave now faces a charge of reckless endangerment after Elizabethton police say he accidentally fired a gun last Thursday, sending a bullet into the apartment below. Elizabethton investigators said they charged 21 year-old Jordan Whitehead with reckless endangerment late this afternoon in connection to last week’s accidental shooting at Lynnwood Apartments in Elizabethton.
