A Johnson City woman told police her drunken boyfriend choked her at a University Parkway apartment on Wednesday, resulting in his arrest.
Jerrod Hise, 28, 3 Hunters Court West, was charged with aggravated domestic assault and public intoxication.
About 10 p.m., police were called to 602 University Pkwy., No. 9, where the woman reported that her boyfriend had been very intoxicated and had choked her.
Police said Hise had left the apartment but they found him a short time later walking along University Parkway.
He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance today.
