Cable company willing to drop fire victim's damaged equipment fee is she resolves back balance

Comcast says generally, it is willing to drop a $550 damaged equipment charge for a fire victim who didn’t have renters insurance if she resolves the back balance on her account that existed prior to the fire. As we told you last week, Emma Hilton was shocked when Comcast sent her a bill in November, charging her hundreds for the four cable boxes and one modem destroyed just weeks prior in an October fire.
