He currently serves as the Tennessee Fund’s Assistant Athletic Director for Development, where he oversees the premium seating for the athletic department and works to secure capital contributions for various facility and endowment projects.“Scott is clearly a rising star in the world of college athletics,” ETSU athletic director Richard Sander said. “We had a very strong pool of candidates that demonstrated how well ETSU is viewed on the national stage. Having someone with Scott’s talents, passion and drive, along with his devotion to the ETSU Bucs, in a major leadership position is a coup for our athletic program.”Carter, a Knoxville native, earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from ETSU.“My wife Kristen and I are thrilled to be returning to our alma mater,” Carter said. “The excitement around ETSU athletics is at an all-time high and it is our blessing to be a part of the future that Dr. Noland and Dr. Sander are leading. We feel humbled by this opportunity and look forward to working each day serving ETSU student-athletes, coaches, the faculty and staff that support them, and all of the fans and contributors that make our programs possible.”Carter will begin work at ETSU on Feb. 3.
