BLOUNTVILLE — A Northeast Tennessee man has been indicted on more than six dozen counts of sex crimes against minors, stemming from the alleged discovery of child porn while he was previously living in Kingsport. Jeffrey Scott Brooks, 39, of 1153 Highway 321 in Hampton, was arrested Friday on a warrant in Carter County. He has since been transported to the Sullivan County jail in Blountville.On Jan. 15 a Sullivan County grand jury returned true bills against Brooks on 79 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The now unsealed indictment states the incidents occurred on or around May 10 of 2012, with the images containing a minor engaged in simulated sexual activity that’s “patently offensive.” More on the case is available from our partners at the Kingsport Times-News.
