Police spot wanted Johnson City man in parked car, take him in



Police say they took into custody a man who was wanted for two charges.

According to a Johnson City Police Department news release, while out on a routine patrol early Friday morning, officers recognized 39-year-old Daniel Koval, of 812 East Maple Street, Apartment # 2, sitting in a parked car at East Main and Spring Streets.

They said he had a confirmed warrant for tampering with evidence and resisting arrest, and immediately took Koval into custody.

Police brought him to the Washington County Detention Center where he was being held on $50,000 bond, and has a court date scheduled for January 21, at 1 p.m.
