A city man was charged with aggravated burglary and theft under $500 after his recent arrest by police after an investigation into burglaries in October and December, police said in a news release.
Michael Jason Tolley, 35, 914 West View Circle, was arrested Jan. 9 after a Dec. 4 incident where a woman said Tolley came to her apartment looking for her grandson. The woman said she left Tolley at the door, not letting him inside, and later found her wallet missing from her purse near the doorway.
Tolley was also charged in an Oct. 13 incident where police say he stole jewelry and cash. He was being held on $21,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center and is set to be arraigned today at 9:30 a.m.
