Just a reminder for everyone that when you have to pay your taxes in Johnson City, make sure that you have the property address with you. Apparently the computer system that the city is using to collect your taxes can not pull up your property by the name of the owner, Social Security number or date of birth. It only tracks by the address, so make sure that you have the house number. Without the house number, you are lost. I thought that we lived in the 21st century, but apparently the city of Johnson City’s computer system is a few centuries behind.The city could not help me because I did not have the house number of the property, so all they had to say was “I’m sorry.” What a way to treat the citizens of Johnson City.I hope that you will publish the above listed information because it could avoid a lot of time and aggravation for the citizens of this city if the computer system of the city of Johnson City would be updated to the 21st century.ANNEKE WILLIAMS Johnson City
