Washington County Mayor Dan Eldridge closed all county offices at 2 p.m. Tuesday due to the weather and said those offices won’t re-open until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. ”There are no plans, at this time, to close the offices on Wednesday, January 29,” Eldridge said in a news release. County employees were urged to “exercise discretion in whether or not to attempt the drive to work early tomorrow morning.”Because Wednesday’s weather conditions were uncertain, Eldridge said offices will open late.Due to worsening weather conditions earlier in the day, Criminal Court Judge Robert Cupp recessed his court early and reset most of Tuesday’s cases until Feb. 19.Also, Johnson City announced that Memorial Park Community Center would be closing at 5 this afternoon. All classes were canceled, and the pool was shutting down.
