Kingsport police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who allegedly robbed a 71-year-old man at gunpoint. At 7:30 on Saturday morning, police said, the man was leaving a friend’s house on Radcliffe Avenue when a man armed with a handgun approached him and demanded his wallet or cash.Police said the man told them he gave the gunman an undetermined amount of cash, then watched him leave in a car. The man was not injured during the alleged robbery.Police described the gunman as white, 5-feet-10-inches tall, with a medium build.
