BVU donated thousands to private Tennessee school where former CEO was on board, wife was employed and kids went to school

For years, Bristol Virginia Utilities donated thousands of dollars to a private school in Tennessee where the utility’s former president and chief executive officer was a board member, his wife was the chief financial officer and their children attended classes. The public utility remains under criminal investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for the alleged misuse of public funds.
