BLOUNTVILLE — A proposal to have Sullivan County go on record asking the state to revive a plan to build “Airport Parkway South” drew a room full of opponents to the Sullivan County Commission on Monday.Unknown to the public, however, the proposal’s sponsors — County Commissioners Ty Boomershine, Roger Cox, and Moe Brotherton — had pulled the item from consideration.Boomershine, a candidate for the Republican party’s nomination for Sullivan County sheriff in the May 6 GOP primary, introduced the resolution last month.Read more with our partners at the Kingsport Times-News.
