Church Hill man accused of trying to stab his girlfriend, threatening police

CHURCH HILL — A Church Hill man tried to stab his girlfriend and then reportedly told officers if they entered the residence he had something for them, according to a police report. James Stallard, 222 Grandview St., Church Hill, was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest. The incident began on Thursday when Stallard became irate and began making threats toward his girlfriend and made threats to kill her dogs, Stallard’s girlfriend told police. As the night went on, Stallard became even more irate and attempted to assault her. When his girlfriend ran upstairs to try and get away from him, Stallard pushed her to the floor and raised a knife over his head and reportedly said, “I’m going to kill you, b——.” Read more at TimesNews.net.
