Mating season contributes to feral cat problem in Washington County TN

Many people who live in Johnson City said they’re beginning to see more and more colonies of stray cats roaming around. The Washington County Animal Shelters said with the return of the warmer weather, it’s mating season. Animal experts said many of these animals have not been spayed or neutered. Animal shelter employee Hannah Greene told News Channel 11 colonies of these cats form when people feed them. Greene said this contributed to Washington County’s big feral cat problem.
