Vote for Krieger

Tom Krieger is a candidate for the Washington County Commission in District 6. I have known and worked with Tom on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for the past 15 years. He is a past board chair and has chaired the finance committee for many years. He is able to read, analyze, and understand the financial statements that are difficult for others to interpret.Tom has served on the Salvation Army’s Souper Bowl for the Hungry since its inception in 1996, serving as chair for the past 15 years. As a member of that committee I have witnessed firsthand his leadership as he secured the professional athletes as speakers for the events, obtained sponsors for the annual luncheons with more than 350 attendees, and setting up the press conferences. He also has been responsible for hosting a small reception before the luncheon, providing the sponsors of the event an up- close and personal visit with the speaker. This year’s event provided more than $35,000 for the Salvation Army to feed and shelter those in need in our community. Tom is a devoted public servant. In addition to all he does for the Salvation Army, he serves on the board of Coalition for Kids, the Johnson City Press Christmas Box and the East Tennessee State University Foundation, and he chairs the steering committee for the Roan Scholars Leadership Program.Krieger has been a positive influence on all those around him and has exhibited a life of service.
