Bill that would impact The Falls retail development fails to move forward

A critical vote that would fund a retail development in Bristol, Virginia failed to pass an essential hurdle earlier today.The HB 593 would allow the city of Bristol, Virginia to collect sales tax revenues from The Falls retail development as phases of the project complete, rather than when the whole development finishes.That money would be needed in order to continue construction on The Falls.But since the Senate Finance Committee voted 13-4 to “pass on the bill indefinitely”.That action all…
