Deputies find large haul of prescription drugs after driver flees Kingsport Hwy. traffic stop

Deputies found a large amount of prescription drugs after catching up with a driver who fled a traffic stop on Kingsport Highway on Thursday afternoon, resulting in two arrests, Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal said in a news release.Harrison Williams, 20, 105 Providence Road, Jonesborough, and Amber Crawford, 20, 570 Bank Drive, Fall Branch, were arrested following the incident on Kingsport Highway near Oak Grove Road about 3 p.m.Graybeal said a deputy tried to stop Williams’ vehicle, but he fled and attempted to evade arrest. A deputy stopped Williams on Oak Grove and arrested him.Inside the vehicle, deputies found a large amount of prescription medication.Williams was charged with felony evading, possession of schedule IV drugs for resale, simple possession and a seat belt violation. His passenger, Crawford, was charged with possession of schedule IV drugs for resale and a seat belt violation.Both were jailed in the Washington County Detention Center pending Sessions Court appearances today. Williams’ bond was $20,000. Crawford’s bond was $10,000.
